Regular meeting on November 1, 2022, the Freeport School District Board of Education:

Received Numerous Reports that will be detailed in the Board Meeting Minutes:

• Supt. Alvarado gave a “State of the District Address” to the board, highlighting the District/School state report card from the IL State Board of Education. Further details will be provided in a public State of the District Forum.

• School Improvement Plan updates, progress and action steps were presented by Jennifer DeJong, principal of Jones-Farrar and Melissa Sago, principal of Lincoln-Douglas.

• Assistant Superintendent of HR, Chris Shockey discussed the MOU between the District and the Transportation Personnel Association. 

Took Action in Favor Of Previously Presented Items:

None were presented for approval at this meeting.

Board members gave committee reports, discussing the need for a board members representative at the Delegate Assembly at the IASB Joint Annual Conference. 

The public is always invited and encouraged to attend Freeport School District Board of Education meetings. ​The next scheduled regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 6:00 PM.  Meetings are held at the FSD administrative office, located at 500 E.
