Freeport School District 145 will have four (4) four-year seats available on our seven-member Board of Education. The seats will be filled following the April 2, 2019 election. Candidates who are elected will fill four-year terms expiring in April 2023.
To be eligible to serve as a school board member you must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a registered voter, and a resident of the State of Illinois and Freeport School District 145 for at least one year immediately preceding the election.
Candidates for the office of school board can begin to circulate nominating petitions for signatures beginning September 18, 2018. The responsibilities of school board elections are handled by the County Clerk. You may contact the County Clerk's office for questions relating to the election.
