At its regular meeting on June 18, 2019, the Freeport School District Board of Education:

● Received an informational report from the Urban Learning and Leadership Center on diagnostic results, recommendations, and plans for the 2019-2020 school year for Freeport Middle School and Taylor Park Elementary School. These two schools have been identified to receive additional support from the State. As a result, the district partnered with the Urban Learning and Leadership Center and the Regional Office of Education #8 to focus on school improvement efforts in an effort to increase academic achievement. ● Approved proposals to adopt new curriculum or instructional materials in several areas, including the Amplify Science Program for K-5 Science, Pearson’s myWorld Interactive for K-5 Social Studies, and new materials for High School Statistics.
