Opportunities Available for Community Input in FSD Superintendent Search

The Freeport School District has begun the process of looking for a new superintendent and is being assisted in the process by the search firm of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates. The district values the input of its stakeholders throughout this process and is providing several opportunities for community members to share their thoughts on the desired characteristics of the next superintendent.

Public Community Meetings

Members of the public are invited to attend a public community meeting at one of the below times:

● Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. - Stephenson County Farm Bureau (210 W. Spring Street)

● Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. - Stephenson County Farm Bureau (210 W. Spring Street)

These meetings will be facilitated by the search firm consultants. Those who attend will be asked about the strengths and challenges of the school district, as well as what attributes the next superintendent should have in terms of expertise, experience, and leadership style.

Superintendent Search Survey

The search firm is also conducting an online survey until April 4, 2019, as an opportunity for stakeholders to share their input. Those who would like to complete the survey may do so at​.
