● Received an update from the technology department on its activities. The update provided information on the district’s instructional technology focus areas, technology deployment and projects, cybersecurity and internet safety, and website and social media. ● Considered a proposal to add a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) class in place of Speech and Drama in the 6th grade wheel at Carl Sandburg School for the 2019-2020 school year. ● Approved a proposal to provide specialized reading professional development through Wilson Reading Training Level 1 to a small number of teachers in order to enhance delivery of reading interventions within the district.
