The search firm of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates is assisting the Freeport School District Board of Education in the process of hiring a new Superintendent to lead the district.
Freeport School District values the input of its stakeholders throughout this process. Members of the public were invited to attend public community meetings on April 2nd and 3rd to share their thoughts on the desired characteristics of the next superintendent. The search firm also conducted an online survey as an opportunity for stakeholders to share input. The survey closed on April 4th.
The consultants from Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates compiled a Leadership Profile from the information gathered through the online survey, community meetings, and several personal interviews and small group sessions. The profile will be used in continued superintendent search efforts and details the primary qualities and characteristics desired in the next superintendent by several categories of FSD stakeholders, including students, parents, support staff, community members, teachers, administrative staff, and the Board of Education.
The FSD Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent who has the ability to provide leadership serving the varied educational needs of a diverse population of approximately 4,100 students with a qualified and dedicated staff of 725 in 10 busy buildings.
