Biographical Information

During the course of her career, Mrs. Hasken has been part of the Freeport School District since 1992. She taught mathematics at Freeport Junior High School and Freeport High School for many years, was an instructional leader of the middle school math department, and has worked as an instructional coach for the district. Most recently, Mrs. Hasken was the Associate Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Freeport High School. 

Mrs. Hasken has also coached many sports including high school and junior high school volleyball and junior high school track, as well as being an advisor for Student Council. She has served on many curriculum committees, including the Joint Teacher Evaluation Committee. Sarah has been a Teacher Leader for the CPM Educational Program, providing professional development in math for the Freeport School District as well as other districts.

Mrs. Hasken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Illinois State University in Normal, IL, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, IL.

Sarah and her husband, Russ, are both Freeport natives and have three daughters, all who have graduated from Freeport High School. She is a strong believer in the Career Academy model that Freeport High School began implementing in the 19-20 school year.
