I was born in Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 15. I am married with 3 children, all of whom are enrolled in our Freeport School District. I am fluent in Spanish, coach soccer, enjoy going out for afternoon runs, and have a passion for education. I was a bilingual teacher at Blackhawk Elementary, dean of students at the High School, and assistant principal at Carl Sandburg.
