There will be a SAT test and a test prep class, for all of our juniors and seniors. The State of Illinois has offered an SAT test day for seniors only on Wednesday, September 23rd. Juniors will still have a test date in April of 2021, along with any senior who does not test in September. Please remember that in order to graduate from high school in the state of Illinois, students must take the SAT.
To help you prepare for this test, we are offering an SAT Test Prep class during first semester for seniors and during first or second semester for juniors. This class will be all online and offered during the first and last periods of the day. You can complete this course at any time and it will be graded on a pass/fail basis. You will earn half of a credit towards graduation requirements, as long as you complete the class. Since you will be working on this during your own time, you do not need to be at school during this class. The anticipated workload is about 3-4 hours per week. However, for seniors, you will want to work faster than that, in order to complete more of the course before the Sept 23rd test date. Once you finish the course online, you are done for the semester.
If you are interested in this class, please contact your counselor. They can help you adjust your schedule. If you do not have a semester class that you wish to drop, you can also take this course during "0" hour.
