Biographical Information
Dr. Asbury brings 6.5 years of experience as Director of Human Resources at Hononegah Community High School. Prior to that role, she served as a middle school English language arts teacher and instructional coach, overseeing grades 6–12 English language arts.
Dr. Asbury earned her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Aurora University and holds an Education Specialist degree in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University. She also holds two master’s degrees and earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary English education from Florida State University.
Dr. Asbury serves on numerous professional committees, facilitates the ROE 4 HR Regional Advisory Council, and is the chair of the Illinois Association of School Personnel Administrators Annual Conference.
Active in her community, Dr. Asbury serves as co-membership chair of the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford and is a Board of Trustees member for the Unitarian Universalist Church. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
